When we decided to downsize, we chose a Real Estate Agent to see what we could sell for. They initially looked and gave us a number that we knew was way too low. We asked what we needed to do to bring the number up to an acceptable amount. Paint everything was the first thing. We contacted Dress For Less Walls, got estimates and suggestions and went with it. Every room was either refreshed or completely redone, some areas with major repairs. The job was done professionally and quickly. The agent revisited, adjusted the asking price, and an offer was made the first day on the market.

Susan WoolleyIrene came highly recommended from my realtor. I needed my guest bathroom and laundry room painted quickly in order to show my home which was going on the market in a month. She contacted me quickly and let me know she would work me in with her very busy schedule. I liked her the minute we first met. She is the consummate professional as well as a wonderful person. I was delighted with her work. The rooms looked fantastic. That work helped the house sell the first week it was listed.
"Irene is a perfectionist. In an age of short cuts, she lives by a “whatever it takes” commitment. She is driven by a “must do it right” attitude – no matter how big the job."
The new home I purchased was 12 years old. Renters had been there and it was in need of a fresh paint job in the worst way. The ceilings were dark. There were dings and damages on various walls. Because it was such a big job I requested two quotes – one from Irene and one from another painter who was recommended to me. He took over a week AFTER the final date I gave for a quote ... a quote that was over two thousand higher! Needless to say, I had already given the job to Irene.

She and her crew took on the kitchen, family room (16 feet high ceiling), woodwork, stair hand rail, spindles, new bead board, master bed room, master bath, living room, sitting room, vanities, hall bath, all ceilings, and guest bedroom.
Irene is a perfectionist. In an age of short cuts, she lives by a “whatever it takes” commitment. She is driven by a “must do it right” attitude – no matter how big the job. The team worked tirelessly. They worked clean. They didn’t have to but she cleaned windows and a fan that were very high. Her crew vacuumed at the end of every day. I am ecstatic at how beautiful the house looks now the job has been completed. I knew she was amazing but she exceeded my expectations. A beacon of integrity in a business where anyone can call themselves a “painter”, I highly recommend Irene and her team. Think that might be the secret? Perhaps it is. But I also think it’s her pursuit of excellence in all she does and her commitment to customer satisfaction that is so rarely found in the world of services today. Every day I look around my home and smile at how beautiful it looks – thanks to her. |

We are delighted beyond words following the work of Irene McFadden/Dress for Less Walls in our home. We live in the top floor of a Brownstone built in the 1890s in Brooklyn, New York. You'll see in the photos the original plaster work that we wanted to preserve. There was some settling and cracks throughout the ceiling and plaster that needed repair. Irene fixed all of the cracks before completing the painting.

One entire wall is exposed brick and so we wanted to select colors to complement and highlight this feature. We could not be happier with how it turned out. The main color, Cascade Beige, echoes the color of the mortar in the brick. The accent wall color Iced Copper complements all.
Irene used Snowbound for the ceiling and trim work. This is best seen in the front windows. Look at the fine detail work she did here and how the color makes the details pop. Irene is also a fine artist -- this is her own original watercolor of the exterior of our building. She approaches her interior painting work with the eye and skill of the fine artist she is.

"I was very pleased with the Dress for Less Walls team and their commitment to my project. Irene provided great suggestions and displayed a design knowledge without taking the project out of my control. Her crew was impeccable. They arrived on time every day, were spotless and efficient. I love how my whole first floor turned out. I loved their work so much I had them come back and do additional rooms! "
Irene McFadden & Her Team Of Workers At Dress For Less Walls Do An Amazing Job!
They have removed wallpaper, repaired very damaged walls and completed my painting jobs on time and within the budget that had been established. She has painted my living room, dining room, 2 story foyer, bathrooms and several bedrooms. Irene does a meticulous job and leaves each day with everything cleaned up and in order. I am very comfortable leaving her and her team in my home to complete the painting. I believe Irene goes beyond the call of duty to ensure you are completely satisfied with the painting job. I would highly recommend Irene for any of your painting needs.

Tina O's 2 Story Foyer |
"Recently this year, I chose to close in my open concept 2-story Foyer by adding walls and French doors to both sides. The original color of the Foyer was dated and the walls were in need of repair work that was not done when the walls were originally painted 10+ years ago by another company. Irene and her Dress For Less Walls team came in and transformed my Foyer. I no longer get anxiety due to the old color or to imperfections in the walls. The team was mix of experienced painters as well as some in training. Irene does a great job directing her team on how she wants things done, she is so respectful of her team which is the type of small business I am happy to support.
In my opinion, this job was more difficult than some due to the high ceiling in the foyer, the new drywall and the detailed work that needed to be done to paint the stair railings and French doors. Fortunately for me, Irene and her team are very meticulous and I am extremely happy with the outcome." |
